DRESS
AND PERSONAL GROOMING

Pupils
who arrive at school without proper attention to personal
cleanliness or neatness of dress may be sent home
to properly prepare for school.
|
|
1)
|
All
students shall be neat, clean, and attired appropriately
for school.
|
|
2)
|
No
sunglasses, hats, caps, or bandannas may be worn inside
the school building except when entering or leaving
the building or during special approved events.
|
|
3)
|
No
clothing may be worn that displays offensive language,
advertises or promotes alcohol, drugs, or lewd behavior,
reveals parts of the torso, is excessively ragged
or sexually suggestive, or is torn in the seat or
crotch. With the exception of physical education classes,
spandex is not appropriate outerwear during regular
school hours.

Students
are not allowed to attend school with bare feet.

Specific
groups may set additional dress requirements for special
occasions or activities such as field trips or formal
dress. |
| 6) |
Demonstrations
of physical affection and unnecessary physical contact
are inappropriate in a school setting and will not be
allowed. |
| 7) |
Students
will not be permitted to use portable music systems
during school hours. |
| 8) |
Hair
is to be orderly in conjunction with teacher demands,
and not colored for occasions such as Halloween. |
